6 minutes and 40 seconds

We were in the Zone, the Disruption Zone at ESC Silicon Valley last week. We were in the Zone because our Secure HyperCell technology has the potential to change the competitive landscape. Being at our booth and talking with many of the participants was easy. The hard part of the Zone designation was presenting our story on a stage in 6 minutes and 40 seconds (20 slides -20 seconds per slide), using only visual pictures and metaphors; use of PowerPoint slides and bullet points was prohibited. This presentation technique is known as Pecha Kucha, a show and tell platform that forces the presenter to keep presentations concise and interest level up. Rob McCammon delivered the presentation in the timeframe allotted, and claimed the distinction with one other presenter who also followed the instructions (Ralf Huuck, from NICTA Goanna Software). So, for exactly 12 minutes and 80 seconds, the audience was spared the boredom of the typical PowerPoint presentation dominated by bullet points and diagrams.

Now, if we could just get our elevator pitch down to 30 seconds....
