Gernot Heiser will present at the 2nd Asia-Pacific Trusted Infrastructure Summer School (APTISS 2008) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His presentation will discuss state of the art secure operating systems, covering OS security principles, and approaches to verification and assurance.
CTO Gernot Heiser, a recognized world leader in embedded operating systems technology, Senior Principle Researcher at NICTA and Professor of Operating Systems at the University of New South Wales, has pioneered research with semiconductor device simulation, microkernel-based systems and virtual machines. Heiser co-founded Open Kernel Labs in 2006.
Asia-Pacific Trusted Infrastructure Summer School (APTISS) is a joint educational, academic and professional forum aimed at a wide variety of state-of-the-art research and development in Trusted Infrastructure. The lectures are presented by international experts that represent a variety of companies, research institutes and universities. The event will be held in Shah Alam (Selangor), Malaysia on the 11 to 15 August 2008.
The purpose of this event is to provide a platform for the researchers in this region to acquire information and knowledge on Trusted Infrastructures from renowned experts from all over the world. Also, this event aims to enhance the awareness of the industries in this region on the significance of Trusted Computing.
