Dr. Gernot Heiser, Consulting Scientist and Co-Founder of Open Kernel Labs (OK Labs), the leading provider of embedded virtualization software for smartphones, tablets, and other connected devices, was awarded the Warren Center Innovation Heroes Award for establishing OK Labs as a foremost computer operating systems research group. His products include the L4 microkernel, the core technology of OK Labs. The annual Innovation Heroes Award is an initiative of The Warren Centre, awarded for outstanding Australian innovations in engineering technology.
