Research
The majority of technology companies today invest in research and development primarily for short-term benefit – to enable delivery of their next product versions to market. While Open Kernel Labs invests substantial resources in productization, our company also takes a long-term view. Indeed, OK Labs was originally founded as a spin-out of research programs at Australia’s prestigious National ICT Agency (NICTA).
Today, with ongoing partnerships at NICTA and the University of New South Wales, OK Labs engages in original research in microkernel design, virtualization, security, Linux-and other open source technology, and in provable correctness and reliability of embedded software.
